Endlessly confused trying to download and launch Bitcoin Armory on macOS 10.15

Discovered Armory probably 7 years ago, couldn't figure it out then either!
I am trying to download and launch bitcoin Armory for the first time on macOS 10.15.6. I have downloaded the entire blockchain on the most recent update of Bitcoin Core, stored on an external HD. I've tried following guides on a few different forums but they are either long outdated, or beyond my technical prowess because I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. When I launch the Armory application, I get the immediate window that "Armory cannot be opened because of a problem" and the report tells me:
Termination Reason: DYLD, [0x1] Library missing
Has anyone successfully ran Armory on their mac? Is there some trivial mistake that I am making? Thanks for any and all help.

Newbie here... started using Armory and just generated an address offline. Do I have to download all previous transaction with Bitcoin Core to buy BitCoin?

There is Dir setting of BitCoin Core. Not sure I need to wait for about 48 hours to download all the BitCoin previous transaction records in order to buy a very small amount of BitCoin.

Did I lose my BTC? Sent BTC to Armory wallet before Bitcoin Core had downloaded the blockchain

The thread title basically says it all. Yesterday, I set up a new Armory wallet and did not know that BTC Core also had to be set up, and with the entire BTC blockchain downloaded to it. So not knowing this, I sent all my BTC from my Copay wallet to my new Armory wallet, and of course, the problem is that the new Armory wallet isn't going to show a balance or "receive" BTC until BTC Core has downloaded the entire blockchain. BTC Core has currently downloaded about 38% of the blockchain and will probably take at least 3-4 more days to download the rest of it. So to make a long story short, have I lost my BTC? Or will they appear in my Armory wallet as soon as BTC Core has downloaded the entire blockchain and Armory is synced-up with BTC Core? Thanks

Just opened a wallet through Armory, can I buy Bitcoins while Armory is downloading the Bitcoin Engine?

I was planning on buying some Bitcoins through LocalBitcoins today so I just opened a wallet through Armory. Now Armory is saying "To maximize your security, the Bitcoin Engine is downloading and verifying the global transaction ledger." Apparently this is going to take at least 10 hours.
My question is: Can I still purchase bitcoins from LocalBitcoins and put them in my wallet while Armory is doing this?
Thanks

Does Armory and Bitcoin-QT download seperate (but the same) blockchain, or do they both work off of the same blockchain (so you only need to download it once with either of them, and then you can use both)?

I want to know if I can "uninstall" bitcoin-qt and the blockchain it downloaded if it is using a "different" one than Armory since I'm using Armory now.

Never received bitcoin on armory.

About a year ago I sent bitcoin from a Bitcoin purchasing website to my Armory wallet. The problem is that I didn't receive this money and my balance still said 0.
A few days later I found out I had to download the entire blockchain, so I did. After waiting a few days for it to finish downloading the balance remained 0.

What am I doing wrong and how can I solve this problem? Thanks.

Need urgent help! Sent bitcoins to armory without understanding it.

So basically I made my first localbitcoins transaction today and I was trying to send the bitcoins to my electrum wallet however it wouldn't recognize my adress.
I read a post which said to use a different wallet and so I downloaded armory. When it started up it said it could only boot in offline mode but I stupidly ignored this and sent bitcoins to my armory adress anyway.
Now I have no clue how to get the bitcoins off there as I cannot get it out of offline mode. ive learnt I need this 'bitcoin core' thing however it seems that will take like three days to install or something stupid? Can anyone please help!!!

Armory

I have no clue whats going on right now. I downloaded armory, made a wallet, and sent coins to it. Then I noticed I was offline and upon further research realized I needed to download the blockchain database. So I downloaded bitcoincore and waited about 2 days for it to download everything on the bitcoin core app. While it was doing this armory was also running and the menus where it says "build database" and "scanning transaction history" was up. The only box that wast lit up green was "scanning transaction history" and I've had this apple loading pinwheel thing just spinning around the past 2 days as well. Last night Bitcore finished downloading everything so I closed armory and opened it back up but ever since last night it's just been on scanning transaction history. I went to bed hoping it'd be done this morning, still not. I waited until now, still not done. I've closed and opened it a few times, made it rebuild and rescan the database, and did a factory reset where it deleted the armory database, rebuilt then rescanned it. In all honesty, I have no clue what I was doing usually turning something off and back on is the magic fix to computers. I tried to just take the coins out using my backup paper wallet on blockcahin.info but they said my QR code was invalid. Advice?

I have $5000 worth of Bitcoin which I cant access

Four months ago I decided to invest in Bitcoin and did some research about it. I decided on Kraken as my wallet and bought $5000 worth of Bitcoin. The problem now is I cant access the crypto currency because Kraken requires that I download the entire Bitcoin database (200gb) which is quite difficult as I live in a third world country with crappy internet
Edit. The wallet am using is Bitcoin armory not Kraken. Sorry for the confusion

/r/Bitcoin FAQ - Newcomers please read

Welcome to the /Bitcoin Sticky FAQ

You've probably been hearing a lot about Bitcoin recently and are wondering what's the big deal? Most of your questions should be answered by the resources below but if you have additional questions feel free to ask them in the comments.
The following videos are a good starting point for understanding how bitcoin works and a little about its long term potential:
For some more great introductory videos check out Andreas Antonopoulos's YouTube playlists, he is probably the best bitcoin educator out there today. Also have to give mention to James D'Angelo's Bitcoin 101 Blackboard series. Lots of additional video resources can be found at the videos wiki page or /BitcoinTV.

Some excellent writing on Bitcoin's value proposition and future can be found here. Bitcoin statistics can be found here, here and here. Developer resources can be found here and here. Peer-reviewed research papers can be found here. The number of times Bitcoin was declared dead by the media can be found here. 2FA requires a second confirmation code to access your account, usually from a text message or app, making it much harder for thieves to gain access. Google Authenticator and Authy are the two most popular 2FA services, download links are below. Make sure you create backups of your 2FA codes.

Day 2: I will repost this guide daily until available solutions like Segwit & order batching are adopted, the mempool is empty once again, and transaction fees are low. You can help. Take action today

Subhan Nadeem has pointed out that:
If every transaction in the Bitcoin network was a SegWit transaction today, blocks would contain up to 8,000 transactions, and the 138,000 unconfirmed transaction backlog would disappear instantly. Transaction fees would be almost non-existent once again.
A few thousand bitcoin users from /Bitcoin switching to making their next transactions Segwit transactions will help take pressure off the network now, and together we can encourage exchanges/wallets to rapidly deploy Segwit for everyone ASAP. Let's make it happen.
Exchanges: Find out if your exchange has deployed Segwit already. If not, politely request that they do so within 30-days or they will lose your business. Sign-up for an account with a Segwit deployed/ready exchange now
Full list: https://bitcoincore.org/en/segwit_adoption/
Wallets: Make sure you have a Segwit capable wallet installed and ready to use for your next bitcoin transaction

FAQs
If I'm a HODLer, will it help to send my BTC to a Segwit address now?
  • No, just get ready now so that your NEXT transaction will be to a Segwit wallet.
Can you please tell me how to move my bitcoins to segwit address in Bitcoin core wallet? Does the sender or receiver matter?
  • The Bitcoin core wallet does not yet have a GUI for its Segwit functionality. Download Electrum v3.0.3 to generate a Segwit address.
    via HowToToken.com:
A transaction between two SegWit addresses is a SegWit transaction.
A transaction sent from a SegWit address to a non-SegWit address is a SegWit transaction.
A transaction sent from a non-SegWit address to a SegWit address is NOT a SegWit transaction. You can send a Segwit Tx if the sending address is a Segwit address.
Is there a hardware wallet that does segwit addresses?
  • Yes, Trezor supports Segwit by default. Ledger Nano also has support.
What wallet are you using to "batch your sends"? And how can I do that?
  • Using Electrum, the "Tools" menu option: "Pay to many".
Just enter your receive addresses and the amounts for each, and you can send multiple transactions for nearly the price of one.
