The new biggest feature is complete support for Tor, though the Orbot app, that connects directly to our nodes running as a hidden service (with a .onion extension). The wallet will now monitor your Orbot connection, launch it if it's not running, and will let you know if Tor access is available or not. Previously if Tor access wasn't available, Android OS would quietly switch it over to open web without us being able to control or stop it. We initially included built-in Orchid library, that would have allowed the wallet to have its own built-in Tor without any third party apps, but it proved to be extremely slow (took a minute or longer to connect and synchronize every time). If anyone has trouble getting Orbot due to it being blocked in your country, let us know and we may host an apk of it ourselves as well. Other changes include:
Multiple fiat selection - you can now select a few currencies at the same time, and cycle through them in your balance, send, and receive displays (just press on the currency code with a tiny triangle in the bottom-right corner)
Creating single key accounts was restored due to popular (aka bos's) demand
Transaction confirmations are now shown as pie charts (yellow to green) as opposed to number of confirmations (doesn't confuse newbies)
In Transactions tab, you can now add outgoing transaction addresses to the address book
Transactions tab now shows fiat values. However, initially these are just values shown at the current price, not historical prices. We will implement historical prices in the future (that would require our server to keep a running record on multiple exchanges and for multiple currencies)
In Transactions tab, added a "Reload Account" button if the list is empty, and "Reload Account" in the menu that you can run any time in case you think transactions are missing
In Accounts tab, split the list of accounts into subcategories, with "HD," "Other," and "Archived."
In Accounts tab, there are now subtotals for each account type, and a total for all active accounts.
The totals can be shown in Fiat or Bitcoin by pressing on the Total number.

Enter your PIN (if you set one and it asks).
Wait 60 seconds for a countdown.
Keep tapping to show your 12 words. Write them down somewhere safe.
It asks you to type them back in, to confirm. You can skip by pressing the back key on your phone.
Part 2 – Setup Bitcoin.com wallet:
Open the Bitcoin.com app. (skip to step 11 if you used the Bitcoin app before, and already finished welcome mode)
If you never used it before, it will ask you to: create a new one, or Restore from backup. Don't click Restore (it didn't work for me). Just create a new BCH wallet. (You won't need it for now, but you need the welcome mode to turn off).
Next screens: Read about the Bitcoin.com app features, or click skip. It creates a wallet.
A green screen loads saying “wallet created.” Scroll down (tablet users). It asks for your email to send payment notifications (when you receive BCH). Enter your email. (I would not use gmail, hotmail, or any government/spy email. Use an encrypted email for BCH transfers so that your record is private and not audit-able. E.g. www.tutanota.com .)
Enable or disable get news. Then click continue, then confirm email.
Backup this new wallet. (You don't need this wallet to sweep your BCH. But backup this new wallet just in case you forgot that you were not going to use it.)
Click Got it, and I understand, to proceed.
Next screen, write down your 12 words exactly. Then click “I've written it down.”
Next screen. At the bottom: click your 1st word, then 2nd, etc, until you have the 12 words in order. Then click confirm, then got it.
Next screen. Click I understand, and agree to terms. Continue.
After you setup a wallet, go to the main screen. Click the PLUS icon where it says “Bitcoin CASH wallets.”
Choose New personal wallet.
Very important: Type in a wallet name. For this example I use “BCH Aug.”
Select coin: BCH
Click show advanced.
Click where it says “wallet key … Random.”
A popup menu displays. Click “Specify Recovery Phrase.”
Click where it says “Enter the recovery phrase.
Paste in or type your 12 words from your Mycelium backup, not the new bitcoin.com wallet you just made.
Keep Derivation path at: m/44'/0'/0'
At the bottom click “Create new wallet.”
The wallet should be created.
Critical steps. Go to the home screen. Click settings icon at the bottom right.
Next screen. Scroll down to the list of Bitcoin Cash wallets. Find “BCH Aug” or whatever you named the wallet you just made.
Next screen. Scroll down and click more options.
Click wallet addresses.
Click “scan addresses for funds.” If it works, a new green-screen should pop up and show some BCH coins, which is the number of BTC coins you expected to have. (The same 12 seed wallet had both BTC and BCH coins. But now you imported the seed, and calibrated the wallet to be on the BCH chain.) If the scan worked, click the back button, then set a PIN for the Bitcoin app. (Go to Settings > Lock App > set PIN. Write it down somewhere, and email it to yourself using your encrypted email – so no one can hack or subpoena your inbox.) You can use your wallet safely now. You can skip the remaining steps.
If the scan showed zero, then do these next steps. Look where it says “Unused Addresses.” Tap the Plus icon 6 times. Then click scan again. If this doesn't show your coins, then tap the Plus icon 6 more times again, then scan. (Mine worked by just tapping it 6 times. But if not, tap up to 20 times, until you get an "Empty addresses limit reached" message; then click scan.)
Your coins should show in the balance after this. If not, then post below for someone else to answer what to do, since it exceeds the scope of this tutorial. Thank you.
I spent 3 hours searching, experimenting, then writing this. I didn't find an exact answer for BCH and Mycelium > Bitcoin.com app. So I tried things until it worked for me. If it was helpful then let me know :) Thanks to bitcoin.com for making a BCH wallet with a PIN lock. I request that they add the APK file somewhere to download, in case you don't have GooglePlay, or you want a backup of the Install file.
Adding nLocktime-based replay protection for Mycelium and Electrum for BIP148 Preparation
A topic that often came up during discussion is the use of nLocktime as a replay protection. Basically it works on the principle that nLocktimed transaction can't be relayed and mined before time specified in nLocktime field of Bitcoin transaction. As deadline to BIP148 draws nearer I’ve made an attempt to create Electrum and Mycelium fork that supports nLocktimed transaction. What you need to do is specify the block number where you want the transaction to be mined in the field given in the user interface. Before that particular block the transaction will not be mined and before block number – 1 the transaction will not be relayed. Since the only way for the legacy chain to survive is to be longer than BIP148 chain we can make it such that the transaction can only be mined in the legacy chain by setting the nLocktime to be lower than legacy chain block but higher than BIP148 chain block in legacy chain, sending your bitcoin to a new address, make sure for it to be mined then send the transaction in BIP148 chain without locktime using the original Electrum/Mycelium to a different address. If you happen to have the transaction broadcasted but not yet mined there is no worry since nLocktimed transactions are marked as non-final and can be replaced by marking the transaction as final. In a way this works like opt-in RBF that’s why you need to make sure to click the RBF checkbox in Electrum. I’ve also included this feature in Electrum by going to replace tab, right click, and click on increase fee. The dialog box will now ask you for a new address. Doing the same thing with Mycelium is a little bit tricky because Mycelium still accepts your transaction even if the chain is nowhere near the block time. So I’ve created yet another fork where you can resend your transaction. However this version will not send your transaction because Mycelium back-end will reject it for double-spending so what you need to do is paste your automatically copied transaction into somewhere you can push your raw transaction. You also only can input your new address using Clipboard because the inability to double spend the transaction makes it more difficult for me to do testing in Mycelium. You can check the binaries in releases tab but please make sure you play around in testnet first before you try it in the mainnet. You can do this with –testnet switch in Electrum and running testnet apk instead of prodnet in Mycelium. Mycelium binaries doesn't support resend feature though. You can compile them yourselves with Android Studio if you are interested. The implication of this kind of replay protection should be pretty obvious. It is much easier to sell Bitcoin in legacy chain than in BIP148 chain. That means if legacy chain’s value is higher than BIP148 chain that would mean there is a higher downward pressure for the value to move to BIP148 chain. When BIP148 chain’s value is actually higher the legacy chain will be wiped out. At this stage running Core is more dangerous than running BIP148.
The Three Legged Stool of safe storage. I've given a lot of thought about how I can safely store my Bitcoins. I want to share my method in the hope others may find this helpful and any discussion could also help me. I'm not intending this as a beginners guide to cold storage, plenty already exist. But people, both new and familiar with cold storage, can benefit from the applications and ideas I'm suggesting here. The Three Legged Stool, what's this about? There are just three ways to unintentionally lose your coins: Leg 1, They can be stolen Leg 2, They can be physically lost Leg 3, You can forget how to access them The snag is that anything done to improve security to one Leg tends to increase the risk of loss caused by being out of balance with the other two Legs. For example, to protect your coins against Leg 1 (being stolen) you may hide the coins private key in a password protected container somewhere in your house. My point is that you have reduced the risk of Leg 1 (getting them stolen) but at the same time increased the risk of Leg 2 (physically lost) and Leg 3 (forget the password). This is especially true with long term storage. Equally, not using a password protects against Leg 3 but increases the risks from Leg 1 and is of no help against Leg 2. The objective is a balanced stool, keeping your coins safe and also always available for spending. How it can be done: My preferred method is using Paper Wallets with BIP38 encryption. With secure passwords, these are so safe you can keep multiple copies of the same wallet all over the place. Keep copies at work, at home, at your parents house and even carry the private key QR code with your phone in case you want to spend a chunk of Bitcoins unexpectedly. Brute force attacks on BIP38 wallets are so slow, I can't think it's possible to crack a strong password of let's say 10 random letters, numbers and symbols. So this is total protection against Leg 1 and Leg 2 but forget that password Leg 3.... and your coins are gone forever! Here's the clever bit. So how can you guarantee never to forget that complex wallet password? Yes! There's an App for that, "Infinite Password Generator" (IPG) is truly brilliant. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=yuku.infinitepassgen.app The only permission this App has is to access Google Play payment services so I don't think it can give any secrets back to the developer. Install this app and make backups of the APK, save backups on several devices in case it's ever removed from Google Play. If you change your phone you will want to be able to install IPG from your APK backups and it's best not to update this App. If you do update it then always check it is generating the same passwords using the procedure explained below. IPG generates complex passwords by combining your own "Master Password" with a Keyword. As an example, your Master Password must be something you can NEVER forget like the house number and road name you lived in as a child. The Keyword is a unique identifier for this Paper Wallet, maybe a name and incrementing sequence number like wallet3. IPG combines these two fields to generate a secure repeatable password you can use as the input to the BIP38 encryption. IPG let's you save its configuration settings and you need to do this: Fill in the Master Password, put your name in the Keyword field, press Show and select the type and length of BIP38 password you want then press Copy (to the clipboard). Now, paste the generated password over the Personal notes (optional) field. Next, delete the Master Password field and Save, then exit IPG. Open IPG and Load your saved file, fill in Master Password then Copy/paste the generated password under the original copy of the password and if you did this all correctly you will have generated exactly the same password, confirming you put in the Master Password correctly. Now change the Keyword field to your chosen Wallet Identifier, let's use my example above wallet3 and this will generate the required unique password for that BIP38 Paper Wallet you're about to make. I would write 3 as a hint on all copies of this Paper Wallet to make sure I don't forget the full Keyword. The next Paper Wallet I generate being wallet4, marked 4. Also I paste a copy of the IPG generated password into a Truecrypt encrypted container as a last chance disaster recovery. Final steps to use IPG safely. You must close this App correctly otherwise it stays a while in memory containing all your secret information. Then you need to clear the clipboard of the wallet password and I've been using an App called Clipboard Autoclear+ to do this. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.tactilesoftworks.clipboardsentinel I've used two Paper Wallet generators, my favorite is https://www.bitaddress.org but it's a bit cumbersome to produce multiple copies of the same wallet. I also like https://bitcoinpaperwallet.com because they can produce Testnet Wallets which is a coin identical to Bitcoin but uses valueless coins purely to be for testing purposes. Google Testnet Wallets for more info. Spending from your Paper Wallet is easier to do than explain and I started by using the Blockchain.info Android App. But this has let me down with an error message "insufficient funds" and I see many complaints about this problem. I wrote to Blockchain.info about it but got no reply. Since then I moved to Mycelium Wallet https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mycelium.wallet and have had no problems with this. Also they do a Testnet version of Mycelium which is incredibly useful. In Mycelium you just scan your Paper Wallets public address to watch how many Bitcoins there are in them. When you want to spend from the Paper Wallet, first run IPG, load the file and fill in the passwords then copy the Paper Wallet password to the clipboard. During the Send transaction Mycelium will ask to scan the wallet Private Key, it then asks for the BIP38 password which you can paste in from IPG and the amount of Bitcoin to send and off it goes. A couple of important points to consider if you're not spending the full amount from the Paper Wallet. Once your private key has been used like this you really should send the remaining Bitcoins the next Paper Wallet in the sequence called, using my example, wallet4. That's because once a private key has been used or exposed to an online device, it's no longer safe to consider it as cold storage. If you don't spend all the coins on your Paper Wallet it's likely you will get back change and you must be sure the Wallet App you're using supports this or your change will disappear as a donation to the mining community. Mycelium and Blockchain.info Wallets automatically look after sending your change back to the Paper Wallet's corresponding public address. OTHER APPS MIGHT NOT DO THIS SO BE CAREFUL. Generating Paper Wallets should be done on an offline device such as an old Android phone factory reset and only used for this purpose or a bootable Linux USB. In conclusion this approach overcomes my doubts about my ability to remember long term secure passwords, possibly years after I made them up, because I shouldn't forget the Master Password as it's something so personal to me and the Keyword is almost attached to the Paper Wallet. Leg 3 is dealt with and Legs 2 and 3 now take care of themselves. I do hope some of you find these ideas helpful.
